Some Changes
and a new substack...
Dear Friends,
I have arrived in the UK. Our children have started school, and look like they’ve been British their whole lives in their little green and grey uniforms. And so the settling in process has begun. Today, I’ve finally had a chance to sit down and write, and I want to explain a couple of changes to this substack and introduce a new project I’m working on.
I have changed the name of this substack from Marigold Montessori to Marigold Education. Over the next few months, I am going to explore a new career as an educational consultant under the title Marigold Education, and I am going to use this substack as a way of creating content and exploring ideas for this new role. I am by no means renouncing Montessori education, but instead I want to use my 10+ years as a Montessori educator as a tool for carving out a new role for myself as an expert in alternative education methods.
I have also started a new substack with fellow Montessorians Justin Tosco and Chelsea Roberts called The Montessori Letters. In this substack, the three of us are reading one of Maria Montessori’s book each month, and sharing our thoughts and perspectives in letters to each other. See the first post below, and please subscribe and share!

Hi Tom, I’d really like to discuss Montessori with you. My small Montessori elementary setup is moving to Exeter, Devon, to open full time. I’m looking for elementary guides and people who have a passion for Montessori.
